Our Tube Inspection Center of Excellence offers a comprehensive program to determine the integrity of exchanger tubing — condensers, feed-water heaters, boilers, and air coolers — ensuring tubes are properly evaluated to detect damage or defects in both ferrous and nonferrous tubes.

Cross-Industry Expertise

Our tube inspection specialists are cross-trained to perform work in Power Generation, Oil & Gas, and other industries. Tube data is analyzed directly at the job site, or transferred via a web portal to enable remote data analysis that helps minimize total project inspection costs using state-of-the-art enhanced visual software and reporting tools.

Defect Localization

Using the same color coding scheme as standard tube sheet layouts, our tube inspection software informs customers of the exact location of tube defects within the length of the tube. This directs you to the precise location of the defects and allows you to make more informed decisions regarding the need to retube these locations or modify operating conditions to mitigate the damage mechanism.

Inspection Methods

Inspections include Eddy Current, Remote Field Testing, IRIS, Magnetic Flux Leakage, Near Field Testing, and Remote Visual techniques. Heat transfer equipment such as heat exchangers, air fin coolers, boilers, and condensers require NDE examinations performed by highly trained personnel certified in accordance with American Society of Nondestructive Testing requirements.
